Douglas Pass

After you pass through the Bookcliffs and many miles of  "adobe land" you start the climb over Douglas Pass.  And as you get near the top and look to the south, this is the lovely view.  You can see the road down in the valley where we traveled prior to our climb.  Then it's down the other side and into some agricultural land before you reach Rangely.

The amazing thing is that you have no idea this lush mountain range is before you until you are there.  It's quite a contrast from the dry adobes.
