This is a view of the mountain range as you come back down the pass toward Ridgway (or, if you prefer, going up the pass the opposite direction). On a "normal" year the green trees in the center part of the photo would be a bright yellow but as I've mentioned, the trees aren't doing their usual thing this year. And the oaks aren't behaving well either, though those shown in the foreground have some nice muted colors. At least we had the addition of the snow-covered peaks to add some interest and that's a nice "not-so-normal" addition. We take what we get and enjoy it all.

Lots of Oak
