"Like my neighbor? . . .

. . . I don't even know who he is."

This is a very isolated farm in northern UT in early November.  It doesn't seem like anyone currently lives there so perhaps they grew lonely and migrated to where there were more people.  Or did they find this too crowded and move to where they were even more isolated?  Hmmmmm
