Hexed Again

This is another design I made using hexagons.  This time I used a variety of sizes and embellished with die cut and punched flowers.  The centers of the flowers are faux jewels.

Flutter By

This artist trading card coordinated with a greeting card that I made.  The background is embossed using a folder as is the cream strip.  The flowers are stamped and the butterfly and leaves are punched.  I add little spots of glitz with a pen.

Hexed

I havet a new die shaped like a hexagon and have had some fun using hexagons in designs.  This card is embellished with flowers and leaves cut on my electronic cutter.  Faux jewels add a little glimmer.

Morceaux Cheisis

I have no idea what that text means but I like it.  I stamped text that fit nicely on the lines of the background paper.  The clock is a Seven Gypsies image and the flower is die cut.  I added a photo corner and some fiber to complete the design.

Marquee Card

I created several "marquee" cards.  They take a little time due to the many pieces but I think they are a little different.  As you open the card, a "curtain" pulls back and the center image is revealed like a little bit of magic.

The borders on the front are from an embossing folder.  I used patterned paper and die cut the butterflies.  The flower is stamped and the leaves are punched.

Flip-It

This is a front or closed "flip-it" card.  It is easy to create one using the Sizzix die which is available in four or five different shapes.  I added strips of kraft paper (one punched for a decorative edge) and patterned paper.  The flower is a die cut and the text is stamped.  I drew hand stitches around the edge of the frame.

When you pull it open, it "flips" and you see the back of the frame.  I added a smaller frame which I die cut from white and stamped with text.  I inked the edges and added a punched flower.

I remember making these several years ago but back then they were difficult to cut so it folded evenly.  The die cut makes it a cinch, especially since it scores the folding lines.  It's a little bit of magic.

"Down By The Marsh"

I stamped this image twice, once on the yellow cardstock and again on a textured gray cardstock.  I cut the circle from the gray, colored it with colored pencil and added a punched flower.  I popped this up on the first image.  I added iridescence to the bird and adhered a punched butterfly.  Simple.
